In the People's Computer Company 1973 September & November newsletters, the Caves, Public Caves, and Wumpus games were created. A network of nodes you could explore, add to, and then have an adventure in. They ran on minicomputers like the DEC PDP-8, and soon advanced microcomputers like the Altair 8080, on teletypes.

Cavez is my own take on these, with a little more description than "Room 17" and some flippant graffiti. Written in Scheme!
